Several Stuyvesant organizations participated in the annual Lower East Side Relay for Life organized by the American Cancer Society in Chinatown on Saturday, July 13. The Stuyvesant Key Club, along with SPARK and the Stuyvesant Cancer Society, competed in a dumpling eating contest, as part of a team competition to win a $500 donation in the winning team's name. Stuyvesant Key Club won the contest with a total of 50 dumplings.

Another stab at multimedia blogging. One of my digital photography assignments was to create a slideshow of my work. I was to set the pictures to music and maybe stick in a quote if I really wanted to. So I did. The song is Coldplay's "Violet Hill," a song written in protest of the war in Iraq.
