Paint the Town Red

This blog is supposed to be about New York, with the possible exception of the two Oscar-related posts and maybe that post about Saturday morning cartoons. Other than those, this blog is very New York. You can tell by the banner I decided to use. But for the next two weeks, I will be blogging from Providence, where I'm taking a documentary film course at Brown University. I will attempt a post a day. But don't blame me if a post is delayed. I have legit work now.

Two Guys Walk into a Train at the Same Time

Now that's not very interesting, not even the least bit. And they didn't walk into the car at the same time; one was only a few seconds ahead of the other. The first one was begging for money. The second was also looking to make an extra buck off straphanging suckers like me. It was 8 pm, so it was sort of rush hour, maybe late rush hour, so the train was sort of crowded, but not too crowded. This was the time for the really tired people, the ones who had to work odd hours and get home by maybe 10 pm to catch the 11 o'clock news instead of the preferable six o'clock news.

How One Should Go About a Blog

It took me a while before I realized no one actually reads this darn blog. And I finally figured out why. No one wants to read long, insightful stuff anymore. Everyone wants short, snappy, witty, and maybe a little stupid. But at the end, they get a feeling that something deep was said, and that they only had to spend about five minutes reading it, maybe even three.

I Hate Summer

A part of my experimental video blog. One of the great things about summer is the free time. There is so much freedom once the pressures of school are alleviated. But boredom ensues. Eventually, I run out of things to do. What I decide to do until my productive summer starts.
